Fighting for Rights!

Dalit Development Forum (DDF) is non-government organization led by women working in Nepal. Established in 2006, its organizes national/province level campaign and conference focusing on issue relating to discrimination, untouchability, human trafficking, modern slavery and dalit issue in coordination with government authorities, Stakeholders and like-minded organization.

The mission of DDF is to contribute to the promotion of human rights, and empower Madesi Dalits for their leadership development to advocate on their fundamental rights issues to increase access in public service and resources

Contribute promoting socio-economic status of Madesi Dalits through awareness rising on social discriminatory malpractice and empowerment for their voice and concern accessing public services and resources

Our Objectives

Capacity Building
To strength the capacity of madheshi dalit, landless, poor and oppressed groups, Harawa-Charawa, migrant people and adolescences through providing various training and networking opportunities, and contribute to promoting for their better livelihood options.
Rights Promotion
To ensure the civil and political as well as economic, social and cultural rights of Madesi Dalits
Coordination and Collaboration
Enhance coordination and collaboration with various government line agencies, policy makers, duty bearers, civil society organizations, media, lawyers and community based organizations
Networking
To strengthen networks for the protection and promotion of human rights and social justice by creating a platform for professionals, youths, women and marginalized groups for learning, sharing and initiating joint work together.
Quality Education
To promote the quality education of children belong to Madeshi Dalits
Access and Participation
To raise voice for the special rights and reservation of Madesi Dalits and increase the access of Madesi Dalits on government services and resources
Awareness Campaigns
Conduct awareness campaigns against caste based discrimination and untouchability, dowry system, early marriage, polygamy and forced labors system
